Great spot for authentic Caribbean food. Got goat curry & oxtails. Delicious, as was the bread it was served with. Will be one of our staples on our ATL—SAV drives. Owners were very pleasant as well. Great local spot to patronize.
The food gave me a taste of home. Didn't feel like cooking today but I really wanted a bite of home and I'm glad I went in as the food taste good. Overall, I am pleased and will be back! The atmosphere was great as well, reminds me of a cook shop back home!
Took the crew for lunch. We had the jerk and curry chicken. Everything was perfect. I've enjoyed Caribbean food many times across the country and this is one of the best! The island lemonades are also delicious. We will be going back to try the curry goat, ox tails and saltfish for dinner one evening. **Update** We came back for dinner and tried the ox tails, saltfish and curry goat. Everything was magnificent! Mama even threw in some potato and pasta salad she made. Even if this food doesn't sound like something you might enjoy, I highly recommend just stopping by to meet them. You will be treated like family and have a great time.
We had oxtails, jerk chicken and chicken curry, and all were delicious. Our son said he loved the vegetables... and he never loves the vegetables. He cleaned his plate, but it was so much food that my husband and I couldn’t finish ours. The cake was good too! Most of all, we enjoyed chatting with the owners. What a fun stop on our Georgia road trip!
Had to try some authentic jerk while in Dublin from WI. She was sold out of jerk chicken but put together some stew rice and added jerk. Everything was delicious and can’t wait to go back. I’ll try and bring a block of WI cheese for MaMa P.
We stopped at Mama P’s on our way back home for lunch! Run by Mama P herself, the food and service here was excellent. We tried the goat curry, chicken curry and bbq ribs, with side of rice and veggies. The food was delicious and we left with a clean plate if we drive past Dublin, we will surely be stopping by this orange shop for some yum food. Bonus- Not all places maintain a clean restroom, but it was well maintained here.
Everything was great and the owners were very professional. We definitely enjoyed the authentic taste of Caribbean food. You can either dine-in or get it to go. I had the oxtail with rice & peas, cabbage &carrots, and plantains. For dessert, I had Mama P “vanilla cake” with cream cheese/sour cream icing, literally melted in my mouth.
My son and I got the Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken. Both were fantastic! I Absolutely loved the cabbage! The Owners are very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long. We will be returning very soon!
